We work closely with employers to help resolve as many concerns as possible quickly, effectively where we recognise that many concerns are best resolved by employers at a local level. This allows us to take I not account any actions that have already been taken locally and whether there is evidence that the clinical physiologist has already taken steps to address any issues with their practice. Involving employers underlines the importance of considering the context surrounding the concern.
If there is a local employer-led investigation we may wait until this investigation has finished before making a decision to investigate. We will then ask for copies of internal investigation reports, disciplinary, capability or appeals documents. Employers may also provide us with correspondence between the employer-employee and any other relevant records.
